SNOW BOARDING

Just returned from a week’s snowboarding and I’m totally knackered. The snow was beginning to turn to sluch towards the end of the week so that was probably the last good week for boarding. Weather was lovely though, crisp blue skies most days.
So, I’m rather chuffed with myself. I was a bit worried about taking a week off from the writing, mainly because this year’s writing schedule is particularly tight. However, I brought my trusty lappie with me and not only got my week’s boarding in but also managed to write 10 thousand words. Not bad going. Now…all I need to do is learn how to type whilst I’m boarding.
No….actually. No, that would be dumb.
A good week all told, although, I’ll tell you what, we got totally whacked by the currency exchange rate. Guess how much a round of three hot chocolates cost us? Go on…take a guess.
Answer: ten quid. That’s right…TEN QUID!!! £10!!!!!!!…for three, small, tepid, watery hot chocolates. I won’t tell you how much an evening meal of three pizzas, two beers and a diet coke cost, but safe to say for the same amount you could go clubbing up in Newcastle, get pie and chips after and get a cab home and still have change left over.
