No DescriptionJust completed the first draft of the second book in the series. And I’m knackered! Here are some vital statistics about it:

  • It’s 11% longer than the first book
  • It’s precisely 17% bloodier.
  • 3.67% scarier
  • body count = 33 (28 kids, 5 adults)
  • 27.4567% more swear words
  • weirdness factor = 9
  • number of times the word ‘Jay-zusss’ is used = 44

Oh yes, all very scientific analysis there I assure you….not sure what it tells you about the book though, other than Liam O’Connor seems to be cr*pping himself quite a lot. It’s been a blast to write though. Really good fun.

Right. I shall take a week off, think about other things for a while, maybe finish off my box set of ‘The Wire’, do some chores around the house…and then return to edit the manuscript and polish, and polish and polish (and probably tone down some of the extreme violence).
